TrueUp

Your Shopify payout,
explained to the cent.

Shopify pays you in lump sums that mix sales, tax, shipping, refunds and fees. TrueUp turns each one into a single journal entry in QuickBooks or Xero that matches your bank deposit exactly.

Free plan, no order limits. Nothing to configure by hand.

The problem

The gap you close every month

Shopify doesn't send you 47 transfers. It sends one.

What you sold

47 orders

Products, discounts, shipping and tax, all mixed together.

What hit your bank

$1,842.17

One number. Nothing says which orders it came from.

Someone has to work that out before the books close. It takes hours a month — or it doesn't get done properly at all.

Why us

Built to catch what others miss

The free connectors post whatever they compute. We don't.

It refuses to post a wrong entry

Before anything reaches your books we check the entry against the payout. If it's off by more than a few cents we hold it back and show you exactly what doesn't add up. A wrong entry costs more than a missing one.

It reads money, not orders

Every figure comes from what actually moved through Shopify Payments. So an order edited after it was paid still reconciles — which is where the free connector breaks.

No limits on orders

We read payouts, roughly thirty a month whether you sell 50 orders or 10,000. Your price doesn't move as you grow.

How it works

Three steps, once

After that it stays out of your way.

  1. Step 1

    Connect your accounting

QuickBooks Online or Xero. One button, their permission screen, and back.

  2. Step 2

    Let us create your accounts

Clearing, sales, shipping, fees, tax. You don't need to know accounting to set it up.

  3. Step 3

    Pick a start date

So we never touch a month your accountant already closed.

Pricing

One price, whatever you sell

Flat. The number of orders never changes it.

Automatic

$19/month

We check for new payouts every day and post them for you, and tell you the moment something doesn't reconcile.

What you pay as you grow

50 orders a month$19
500 orders a month$19
5,000 orders a month$19
50,000 orders a month$19

We read payouts, not orders — about thirty a month either way. Our cost doesn't move, so neither does yours.

Questions

Questions a bookkeeper asks

The honest answers, including the ones that aren't flattering.

What happens when an entry doesn't balance?

We don't post it. The payout is flagged in the app and you can open it to see the entry line by line and what's off. A wrong entry in your books costs more than a missing one, so we'd rather stop and tell you.

Does it work with QuickBooks Automated Sales Tax?

Yes. QuickBooks blocks journal entries against its built-in Sales Tax Payable account when Automated Sales Tax is on, so we create a separate liability account and post the tax you collected there. Same behaviour, and your syncs don't fail.

What about PayPal, or other payment gateways?

Not covered. Those payments never pass through a Shopify payout — the money goes from the gateway to the bank and Shopify has no record of the deposit. Rather than guess, we show you when we see sales that fall outside Shopify Payments.

Will it touch months my accountant already closed?

No. You set a start date when you install, and nothing before it is ever posted.

Do you store my customers' personal data?

No. Not names, not emails, not addresses, not card details. We only read monetary totals. It's why our privacy policy is short.

What if I uninstall?

Entries already posted stay in your books — they're yours. We delete your accounting tokens immediately, and the rest of your data when Shopify tells us to.

Does it work with Xero?

Yes. Connect either QuickBooks Online or Xero — whichever you keep your books in. Same engine, same entries, and the same guarantee that nothing posts unless it balances.
